Our Mission

What is Grave Robbing for Morons? We don't know. In fact, no one seems to know. It was part of the widely popular VHS trade that grew in the early 1990s, and birthed cult classics of dark and unusual videos that relied on know-how to circulate. Since the 90s, the trade has transferred onto the internet, depending on message boards and selective communities to live on.

Grave Robbing for Morons has been circulated, copied, traded, and torrented countless times, making it impossible to have a clear understanding of where it has been, and where it came from.

Our hope is to piece together the story of this particular tape, using it's journey and origin as a study to create a film about how the VHS Trade grew, expanded, and adapted.
